We encourage all BPS Teachers, Staff and Administrators to join us on Twitter this summer. Join the Office of Instructional and Information Technology as we follow along with the Summer of Twitter Teacher Challenge.
If you are new to Twitter, follow Steps 1 and 2 to get up and running on Twitter.
Once you get to Step 3, follow some or all of the following BPS Twitter users:
If you would like to be added to this growing list of BPS Twitter users, send an email with your Twitter handle to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Follow Steps 4 and 5 at your own pace.
We would love to know who is participating along with us this summer. Once you get to Step 6, please introduce yourself to our personal learning network by tweeting your name, school and position and including the #BPSPLN hashtag. This is the hashtag we use for our BPS live Twitter chats and to follow the stream of tweets from other BPS users.
For Steps 6 and 7, members of #BPSPLN have chosen one Twitter chat each week that we will participate in as a group (see schedule below). If you are unable to “attend” the chosen chat, please choose other Twitter chats that fit your schedule. We will also have a live #BPSPLN Twitter chat on Wednesday, July 31, from 10:30-11:30am and again on Tuesday, August 27, from 8:00-9:00pm to share information and topics and reflect on what we have learned through participation in these various weekly Twitter chats. Participate when you can and join us at the #BPSPLN Twitter chats to build your professional learning network. Also, keep in mind that some of these Twitter chats are very active, so do not feel overwhelmed if you are unable to keep up with the entire chat at first.
